Beta Syringe Shields
Designed to reduce beta radiation exposure to healthcare personnel’s hands and fingers during the preparation and administration of beta-emitting radiopharmaceuticals. Its transparent body provides clear visibility of the syringe and dose graduations.
- Syringe preparation and administration of beta-emitting radiopharmaceuticals, such as Y-90.
- Sr-89 and P-32 procedures where shield suitability has been verified.
- - Research laboratories working with beta-emitting radionuclides.
- Nuclear medicine centers and radiopharmacy laboratories.

Our ProductsThe beta syringe shield is used to reduce radiation exposure to healthcare personnel’s hands and fingers during the preparation, transport and administration of beta-emitting radiopharmaceuticals. Its transparent PMMA body provides clear visibility of the syringe and dose graduations. The screw-locking mechanism holds the syringe securely in place, while its lightweight and compact design ensures ease of use.
Used in nuclear medicine centers, radiopharmacies and research laboratories, these shields can be manufactured to accommodate different syringe sizes. They provide protection against beta radiation; additional shielding may be required in applications involving gamma emissions and bremsstrahlung.
Note: This shield alone does not provide sufficient protection against gamma radiation. Additional shielding may be required depending on the isotope, activity and potential bremsstrahlung radiation. Reference dimensions and weight must be verified during final production.
