The Radioactive Liquid Waste Tank System is designed to safely store radioactive wastes from nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceutical production, radiation processes and research laboratories until they decay to safe levels or are disposed of in accordance with regulatory requirements and released to the environment.

The system is not a discharge system based on radioactive dose level, but rather a decay system. The decay dose is calculated and regulated by the Turkish Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NDK) based on the facility's radioactive waste sources, considering the amount of radioactive doses received per room and the volume, and the tank retention times are also regulated accordingly.
